Baguio City, My Favorite Place

Baguio City is my favorite place. I love see the pine trees moving slowly. But our house is far away from there. Even if it is my favorite place I cannot go there faster. I’d like to go there because it was the summer capital of this country, Philippines.
And if I go there this would be happen. First, I will ride a tricycle from our house to the Waiting Shed to Baguio. Second, I will ride a bus to there and wait for how many hours to get there. One, Two, Three, Four, Five Hours to get there. And then I could see the SM City Baguio Mall shining with light. I could even see the pine trees taller than me moving with this cold summer. I’d like to boat in the Burnham Lake and I will be nervous when I am in the boat. I’d like to go shopping in SM City Baguio Mall for my school supplies, dresses, bag, shoes, toys and obviously food. I will be full if I eat “dinuguan” in the restaurant especially siopao, siomai, and other Japanese foods. Then if I would like to sleep, I just go to the cheapest condo in Baguio.
The famous places there are The Mansion of our President, Mines View, SM City Baguio, Biggest Christmas Tree and Burnham Park. This place is established by Americans in 1900. In Christmas, there was very hard traffic. Especially in the road to SM City Baguio. I guess, the Christmas Eve is the very especial season this passed years. And also, Baguio glows in nippy winter air. There were thousand people shopping, attending masses, marketing and eating.
In Baguio, all people are free to wear a bonnet. Because it is cold there, we just wear thick jackets to be warm. Last New Year, I feel like to attend the parties with my father’s friends. He is working at Tebtebba Foundation. This place is a None Government Organization. Their topic is mining.
Among the places in Baguio, my favorite place is Burnham Park. Because it is very near to the office, you can easily be brought there. This place is 8 degrees cooler on the average of any lowland places.
Baguio is really wet during rainy seasons especially if hard. November to May is a tropical paradise in place. A very refreshing break from the hot sunlight and humid climate in the Philippines. In late afternoons or evenings, recommended worn is jackets and thick sweaters.
The malls there are Abanao Square Shopping Arcade in Abanao Street,
Baguio Center Mall in Magsaysay Avenue, Cooyeesan Plaza in
Naguilian Road, Porta Vaga in Session Road and especially SM City Baguio in Luneta Hill, Baguio Session Road.
There were also schools for handicapped children. These are Baguio School for the Deaf, Baguio Vision Christian Academy Foundation, Inc., Maryknoll Good news Deaf Centrum, NLAB’s Heinz Wolkke
School and San Lorenzo Ruiz institute.
The Shopping Centers are Hiro Shopping Center, Old Tiong San Bazaar, Tiong San Shopping Center Harrison, Skyworld Commercial
Center, UB Square, Maharlika Livelihood Center, 5 Cents Up and Country Mart and 456 Department Store. There, you can decrease or increase prices. You can also buy one take one there cheaply.
We can also find Souvenir shops like Easter Weaving Room, Inc., Glass Spirits Candles and Crafts, Ibay’s Silver shop (Main), Ibay’s Silver shop, Island Souvenirs, Naeda’s Trading Corporation, Philippine Treasure Inc., Maharlika Livelihood Souvenir Shops, Pilak Silver Shop, Wood Carvings Souvenir, Mines View Souvenir Shops.
The top ten first hotels are Baguio Palace Hotel, City Light Hotel, City Travel Hotel Concorde Hotel, Cooyeesan Hotel Plaza, El Cielito Inn, Golden Pine Hotel, Hotel Constancia, Hotel Supreme and Hotel Villa Rosal. You can go there and sleep there because their beds are soft.
The top nineteen Saint Joseph Parish Church, Saint Vincent Church, Baguio Baptist Church, Baguio Church of Christ, Baguio Mission Center, Chinese Baptism Church, Good News Community Church, Baguio Cathedral, Grace Baptist Church Inc., Holy Family Church, korea Union Church, Methodist Church, Pines City Baptist Church, St. Stephen Lutheran, United Church of Christ in the Philippines Burnham Park, United Evangelical Church of Baguio Trancoville, United Methodist Church, United Pentacostal Church and Bread of Life Ministries, Inc. Where we can pray nicely.
There are courier services around Baguio. These are Aboitiz One Inc., Air Freight 2100 Inc., L B C Express Inc., WWW Express and FedEx.
There are restrooms in different places especially in the Gasoline Shops, Parks, Shopping center, Malls and many, many more.
Baguio is also prone in pollution especially air and water pollution. Yes it is very traffic; this traffic makes everyone cover their nose and also their mouth. In water pollution, they throw garbage everywhere too, but just sometimes. Like in Manila and Nueva Vizcaya, they were prone to pollutions too. Baguio City is more than thousand people. When it is my first time to come there, we came to the marketplace and I was shocked that more than one thousand people are there in the marketplace. This place has more population because there were Ilocanos, Bugkalots, Tagalogs, Ifugaos and more.
